The Tariffs :

AlloStop is easy, safe and economic.
First, the driver or the passenger must subscribe at the local office with a piece of identification. Then, the passenger may check everyday for the availability and the costs of their destination. The availabilities are updated everyday. The costs are calculated and are fixed depending on the distance between the pick-up and the destination.

Here are a few costs of how much it may costs for a passenger depending on their destination.
-Montreal to Quebec: $13
-Montreal to Sherbrooke: $9
-Montreal to Chicoutimi: $26
-Montreal to Drummondville: $8
-Montreal to Val D'Or: $24
*fees of contact are additional
*for the complete list of tariffs, please visit the website.

Therefore, on the other hand, there is no cost for the driver. He/she needs to post its dates and time of his/her availabilities. This is a great way for a driver to save his travel costs since the amount paid by the passenger are contributed directly to the driver.

What is Allo-Stop?

Allo-Stop is a carpool organization helping more than 60,000 members travel economically and safely around the province of Quebec. More in detail, it unites drivers and passengers without divulging anyone's contact information. Drivers wanting to travel to a certain location will let Allo-Stop know, and the latter will find a minimum of 2 passengers for the driver to bring with him. Allo-Stop will then arrange a meeting place and time. Drivers are subject to a yearly fee of $7 in order to be a member, and passengers must disburse $6 for the same period. There are no membership fees for the students. The fares are different for the many locations offered.
